What does Maude cost?
$49 a month, per person, billed monthly in US dollars. There is one plan and it includes everything: the daily briefing, your organization map, the private podcast, Ask Maude follow-up questions, and the full source trail. There are no tiers, no add-ons, and no annual contract.
Can I expense it, or can my institution pay?
Most people expense it: every invoice is available from the Billing page in your account. Maude is billed per person to a card. Institutional invoicing and purchase orders aren’t available yet — if your institution needs them, email hello@maude.news.
How does the free trial work?
Sign in with your work email, build your map, and your briefings start — free for 14 days, with no card required. The trial includes everything, audio too. We’ll email you before it ends.
What happens on day 14?
If you’ve added a card, your subscription simply continues: the first $49 charge is on the day the trial ends, then monthly from there. If you haven’t, nothing is charged — your briefings stop, your map stays in your account, and you can pick up where you left off by adding a card.
Is the podcast included, or extra?
Included. The private audio feed is part of the one plan — there is no audio upgrade. If you only read, you can switch audio off in Settings; the price stays the same.
How do I cancel?
Anytime, from the billing page in your account. Your briefings continue through the end of the month you’ve already paid for, then stop, and you won’t be charged again. We don’t refund partial months.
Is Maude available outside the US?
Not yet. At launch Maude is available in the United States only, and subscribing requires a US-issued card. If you’re elsewhere, tell us at hello@maude.news — it helps us decide where Maude goes next.
