What we collect
Your account email (we use passwordless magic links, so we never store a password), the organization map you build (your organization, role, and the entities and topics you ask Maude to follow), the briefings prepared for you, your feedback on them, and — if you joined the waitlist or requested pilot access before launch — the details you submitted. If you use the audio briefing, we store the generated episodes so your podcast feed works. If you subscribe, we keep the billing details described below.
How we use it
To make the product work: your map drives what Maude monitors, your feedback tunes what earns space in future briefings, and your subscription status decides whether your briefings are sent. We may use product analytics to understand how the service is used. We do not sell your data, and we do not share your map or your briefings with other customers.
Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe. When you add a card, you enter it on Stripe's secure pages, and Stripe stores your card details and billing address — Maude never sees or stores your card number. We keep only what we need to run your subscription: Stripe's reference numbers for you and your subscription, your plan status, your trial and renewal dates, and whether a card is on file. We keep billing records for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Who processes it
Maude runs on a small set of service providers that process data on our behalf: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Anthropic (the AI that drafts syntheses), ElevenLabs (audio narration), Resend (email delivery), Stripe (payments and billing), Sentry (error monitoring), Perplexity and Exa (news search — they receive search terms built from your organization map, such as the organizations and topics you follow, not your name or email), and, where enabled, PostHog (product analytics). Each receives only what its role requires.
Your choices
Your map is visible and editable in the product at any time. You can stop the briefing by adjusting your delivery settings, cancelling your subscription, or asking us to close your account — closing it cancels any active subscription and removes your profile and map from the active service.
